His
Ogginess, the Oggiest, Doggiest Og Bog Dog of Og Bog - aka Dog Bog Dog
for short
Benevolent leader of the tribe and highly respected by all the Og Bog
Dogs. A noble, shaggy giant, His Ogginess is very learned. He is the keeper
of the ancient teachings of Ogham, howled down through the ages. They
say his grand age and superior memory are due to the preserving qualities
of the peat.
Along with overseeing the well being of the Og community, his mission is to pass on the lessons of the old ways of the Woof Woofa Woof Woof Woof to all the young Sprogs.
Log
Bog Dog
Log is a lumberjack, carpenter and adventurer. Hard working and energetic,
Log is tireless. His lean frame is always on the go. Log is a friendly
animal; well known by the woodland creatures. Log has the most experienced
knowledge of the mountains and
forests. He works closely with the mischievous Neither and Either Beaver
twins, and the Snizzly Grizzlys collecting lumber for the Og village carpentry
needs.
Log is a popular and useful member of the Og community, but he loves spending time away from the village, snuffling and sniffing around the forest and mountains; or rafting down the river, balanced on logs. His old adversary in the mountains is Big Old Grizzly – BOG for short, who regularly taunts Log and the Beavers.
Leonardo
di Hundi - aka Cog Bog Dog
The brilliant, batty ‘ogventor’ . Leonardi landed in Og Bog
one day when his flying machine dropped out of the sky. He came from a
land where it was very sunny and bemoaned the fact that his flying machine
only seemed to go one way.
His family were the greatest ogventors of all time, they built wells,and
pawbridges across rivers; because Leonardi was always inventing things
and building strange machines, he became known in Og Bog as Cog Bog Dog.
Fog
Bog Dog
Fog is the best dog to guide you through the mists of the bog. Perceptive
and alert, her highly sensitive nose and sleek, grey frame make her perfect
for tracking, unseen through the dangerous landscape.
Fog has the greatest knowledge of the lowlands and the bogs. She often teams up with Log to help him source the best wood for his carpentry. Over the years Fog has developed into the highest and longest jumper. Although she is the holder of the Oglympic titles for High And Long jump, her skill was developed out of necessity when crossing the bogs she needs to be able to spring over Nangulethwaipes and their extended ‘ten tackles’.
Slog
Bog Dog
A great expeditioner and reluctant hero. Slog spends little time in the
village. He is a loner, driven by wanderlust; his curiosity is always
getting him into scrapes. Slog can be impulsive and often leaps from the
‘frying pan into the fire’, but he leads a charmed life and
generally escapes unscathed.
The Sprog
Bog Dogs
The little Og Bog Dogs. a jumbled, swirling mass of nipping, widdling,
yelping pups. The Sprogs’ duty in life is to get under the paws
of their elders and have fun. Og Bog Dogs, with the occasional reprimand,
generally tolerate the nuisance they create.
The only time the Sprogs are stilled is when sleeping or have the honour
of being taught from the ancient ‘Woof Woofa Woof Woof Woof’.
His Ogginess tries to bring his dignity to bear upon the proceedings,
but is charmed by the Sprogs and chaos frequently breaks out at the wag
of a tail.
